NCAA Basketball Betting Lines

01/17/2007 - Pittsburgh, PA (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Aaron Gray poured in 22 points, grabbed 19 rebounds and blocked four shots as sixth-ranked Pittsburgh held off Big East foe Connecticut, 63-54.

Ronald Ramon went 4-for-4 from three-point range and finished with 17 points for the Panthers (17-2, 5-0 Big East), who have won seven straight and improved to 12-0 at home this season.

Jeff Adrien had 13 points and seven boards while Jerome Dyson added 11 points and five boards for the Huskies (13-4, 2-3), who have dropped three of their last four contests.

Trailing 33-32 with just over 12 minutes left in second half, Gray nailed back-to-back jumpers as the Panthers took control of the game with a 16-2 run, capped by five straight points by Ramon that gave Pitt a 48-35 lead with 4:46 left to play.

UConn, though, would not go quietly, as Craig Austrie's three brought the Huskies within 59-52 with 30.3 seconds remaining. After Levance Fields bricked two free throws for Pittsburgh, UConn had a chance to make things interesting, but Doug Wiggins and Austrie both missed back-to-back three pointers as Pitt held on for the win.

Down 19-13 with just under six minutes left before halftime, the Huskies responded with a 9-2 spurt that gave them a 22-21 lead with just 19 seconds left to play. However, Pitt managed to take a 24-22 lead into the locker room thanks to Ramon's three at the buzzer.

Game Notes

Pitt shot 44 percent from the floor and turned the ball over an uncharacteristic 18 times...UConn shot just 36 percent...The Panthers have held the opposition to fewer than 70 points in all 17 of their wins.

Huskers' Lucky hospitalized for undisclosed reason

LINCOLN, Neb. -- Nebraska running back Marlon Lucky was hospitalized Monday for undisclosed reasons after Lincoln police responded to a call at his residence.

The Nebraska athletic department said in a release Monday that Lucky was admitted Sunday night.

MySportsbook.com has the Cornhuskers listed at +2500 to win the BCS National Championship odds.

A nursing supervisor at the hospital said all questions about Lucky were being referred to the athletic department. The athletic department said there would be no further comment from the department or Lucky's family.

A Lincoln Police spokesman said officers responded to a call at Lucky's residence 11:30 p.m. Sunday. The spokesman said he didn't know Lucky's condition at the time he was taken to the hospital.

Lucky, from North Hollywood, Calif., started six games last season as a sophomore and was the team's second-leading rusher, with 728 yards and six touchdowns. He also caught 32 passes for 383 yards. He averaged 19.1 yards on eight kickoff returns.

Mens NCAA Basketball Tournament odds
As of February 9, MySportsbook.com has released its coveted 2007 Mens NCAA Basketball Tournament betting odds. “March Madness betting ” only a month away, the top ranked Florida Gators are favorite at 7-2 to win it all. The defending champs have not disappointed at all this season and currently have a 22-2 record and are undefeated (9-0) in SEC play. The Gators’ thrive off of their extremely balanced, experienced and versatile attack. All five starters started in last seasons National Championship game. What is most impressive with this group is their balance; the five starters all average between 10.7 and 13.6 PPG. The Gators have been on an absolute roll having won 15 straight by an average of 16.4 PPG.

Right behind the Gators are the 5th ranked UNC Tar Heels at 9-2. The Heels (21-3, 7-2) are absolutely loaded with top notch talent and are as deep as any team in the country. A concern for the Tar Heels might be inexperience. Of their top four scorers/ minute earners, three are freshmen and the other is a sophomore. The rest of the regular season, the Tar Heels play only one team that is currently ranked (Duke). Their remaining opponents do combine for an impressive 107-58 record though.

Other teams that the MySportsbook.com members seem to believe will win it all include the west coasts’ top team #2 UCLA (6-1), #3 OSU behind man-child Greg Oden (8-1), and #4 Wisconsin (10-1) behind their defense which has given up 70+ points only three times all season.

Below is a list of some of the favorites to win the 2007 Men’s NCAA Basketball Championship lines. For the full list of teams and March Madness odds be sure to log onto MySportsbook.com.
